SEO vs Google Ads: which brings a junk removal company more clicks?

For junk removal companies running both, Google Ads brings about 79% of their Google clicks, about 3.8 ad clicks for every organic click, and ads lead at all 13 businesses we compared. The organic clicks they do get from people not searching their name would cost an estimated $322 a month at their own ad prices (modeled), roughly a fifth of what they spend on Search.

What the organic clicks would cost at ad prices (modeled)

At each business's own junk removal or dumpster cost per click (median $5.79), its non-brand organic clicks would cost about $322 a month to buy (middle half $214-$643), or about 22% of its actual Search spend (15%-27%).

Do ads take clicks away from organic?

No sign of it for non-brand clicks. In 6 businesses with 8-12 months of data, months with more ad clicks didn't have fewer non-brand organic clicks; month to month the two moved slightly together, as you'd expect if both follow demand.
